IMG and Panasonic Extend Inflight Partnership for Another Five Years
IMG, a global leader in sports, fashion and media, and Panasonic Avionics Corporation (Panasonic), the world leader in Inflight Entertainment and Communication (IFEC), have signed a five year extension to their existing agreement, which will see Panasonic continue to provide the technology for Sport 24 – the world’s only live 24/7 sports channel for the airline industry.
Netflix streams on airplanes too, starting with Virgin America
One problem with Netflix has always been that it doesn’t work when you’re on a plane. Starting this month however, the service’s entire catalog will be available for Virgin America flights on new Airbus A320 airplanes.
Japan Transocean Air (JTA) Latest to Select Gogo 2Ku
JTA, a member of the Japan Airlines group, has awarded its new 737-800 aircraft to Gogo for installation of Gogo’s 2Ku in-flight connectivity solution. In addition, passengers on these aircraft will receive Gogo’s wireless in-flight entertainment service – Gogo Vision.
