Emirates doubles free WiFi to 20MB before you start paying

Emirates will give economy passengers a larger serve of free inflight Internet before new data charges kick in.

The Qantas partner carrier currently provides 10MB of free access to all passengers, followed by a modest ask of just US$1 for each 500MB of data.

Emirates to offer free inflight WiFi in business, first class

Emirates is shaking up its inflight Internet plans to include “unlimited free WiFi” for business class and first class passengers while increasing the cost of the service for economy travellers.

The Gulf carrier currently gives all passengers 10MB of free access to its satellite Internet system, with each additional 500MB of data available for just US$1.

IAG’s Level subsidiary takes flight

International Airlines Group (IAG) has launched the first flights of its low-cost, long-haul subsidiary Level.

Twice-weekly services between Barcelona and Los Angeles launched yesterday (June 1), with thrice-weekly flights from the Catalan capital to Oakland International following today, and services to Punta Cana and Buenos Aires launching later this month.
