Sport 24 Live In-Flight September 4 – 10

SPORT24 US Open Tennis Formula 1As the final few days of the US Open are coming to a climax, the weather may not be at its best, but things are really heating up on the courts. With the departures of a Roger Federer, Venus Williams, Thomas Berdych and Jelena Jankovic; there is still plenty of competition between the top seeds who are still vying for the chance to become the US Open Champion. Players including defending Men’s Singles Champion Andy Murray, defending Women’s Singles Champion Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic, Victoria Azerenka and Rafael Nadal.

Also this weekend, the Italian Formula 1 Grand Prix takes place. The ever dominant Sebastian Vettel who was victorious at the Belgium GP, will have to fend off high speed competition from those drivers campaigning to achieve the title championship.

Defending Champions; Andy Murray and Serena Williams will have to fend off the likes of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Victoria Azerenka, Na Li and Caroline Wozniacki in their quests for the singles title.

In the Barclays Premier League there are matches on Saturday and Sunday, in the run up to the end of the transfer window. Sunday is being dubbed as ‘Super Sunday’ with competitive matches: Liverpool v Manchester United and Arsenal v Tottenham hotspurs

In the Bundesliga, FC Schalke take on Bayer 04 Leverkusen, and Eintracht Frankfurt play Borussia Dortmund which is sure to be an exciting match.

US Open Tennis

The US Open is one of the greatest sporting events in the world, attracting the world’s best tennis players who all wish to compete in the final Grand Slam of the calendar year. Taking place in late August through to early September, players descend on New York to compete for the revered title of US Open Champion, to etch their name in the history books. As the world’s largest annually attended sporting event, the US Open attracts more than 700,000 people. Matches are played in a lively and electric New York atmosphere to delight viewers all around the world, wherever they are!

Formula 1

The Formula 1 Championship teams descend on Italy and Belgium in September. Both courses equally tough, and will test each driver, pushing them and their cars to their maximum capacity.

Drivers include defending World Champion Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button, Fernando Alonso & Mark Webber.

Premier League

The 2013/2014 Season has begun! Catch live action from the top teams as begin their campaign for victory. There will be a unique blend of high energy football, played by some of the greatest players from around the world for teams such as Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspurs.

Bundesliga

The Bundesliga is one of the strongest, most competitive, watched and talked about leagues in the world with many of the globes greatest players. The strength of the German teams in this season’s Champions League has once again demonstrated the excitement and quality of German football.
